Maharlika Investment Scam? We recommend highly profitable ventures to invest our money!

The recent passing of the Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF) bill by the Senate has raised concerns and evoked memories of the corrupt-riddled Coco Levy Fund Scam during the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos’s era.

With a vote count of 19 in favor, one against, and one abstention, the MIF bill is now set to become part of the law of the land. Well, 31 million bobotantes voted for it. So, get ready for a new epic ride, comrades.

But then we have basic common-sensical questions regarding the Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF), and they are as follows:

  1. Is it a sovereign wealth fund, a commercial fund, or a Marcos fund?
  2. Where will the MIF czars invest the money?
  3. Do BBM and his handlers genuinely believe they are better at managing people’s money?
  4. Why was there an attempt to expropriate funds from GSIS, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-Ibig?

Now, where should we invest? It seems like we’ve been receiving hints over the past few days, as some national politicians have called for the state takeover of the country’s power grid.

Here’s our list, and we’re half-serious here:

  1. NGCP – This protectionist crony corporation, partly owned by China, has been exposed for making billions in profits over the past decade. It appears that NGCP is one of the reasons why BBM wanted to expedite the passage of MIF.
  2. Other power corporations with poor service.
  3. AboitizPower operations in Metro Manila. Since AboitizPower only has a one-year emergency contract with Meralco, why not consider taking over Sabin Aboitiz’s power company as a whole? That would be great!
  4. ABS-CBN? Is the ambition to turn it into a BBC in the Philippines? Hmmm… Why not? During martial law, the father took over the network and handed it to Imelda’s relatives.
  5. Malampaya – the goal is to take over.
  6. To replace crony or protected companies. Why not?
  7. Special suggestion: Take over the Villar family real estate empire 😂.
  8. Another special suggestion: Take over all companies partly owned by China! If Madam President agrees, of course 😆.
  9. Take over all Marcos assets worldwide!
  10. Tallano gold! Ask any Marcos loyalist. They believe it exists.
  11. Take over the “kumikitang pangkabuhayan,” which is Iglesia Ni Cristo, and make it a state religion or cult.

Oh dear! God bless the Philippines!
